All around us the world is getting bigger. Cities are getting larger as the population grows and as industries are expanding. Even though it is good to see this happening, there are some negative effects. With more people there come more cars and trucks on the road. With larger industry comes even larger vehicles and these things together cause pollution both outside and inside our homes. With these changes also come more innovations and technology to help decrease the pollutants that are expelled into the air. Many companies are finding ways of “going green” to do their part to make the air cleaner than it was before.
Exposure to pollution can lead to a number of different
problems in the respiratory system (the body system that helps us to breathe). Different diseases come from this exposure
and can lead to more serious diseases such as cancer. Although we, as individuals, cannot control
the environment that is outside of our doors, we can control the environment
within our homes. Air purifiers were
designed to make the air we breathe in our homes cleaner and safer for our
“consumption.” Did you know that the air
in our homes is sometimes worse than the air outside of them? In many cases, this is true.

As a professional in the field I have worked with whole house air purifiers throughout the years and have seen an increase in the installation of them as our city continues to grow. Working with these units has helped me to learn what the best brands of purifiers are and which ones need more maintenance than others. I have found that Honeywell brand purifiers are dependable and effective as long as they are taken care of properly. This is why they are among the top rated air purifiers that can be found on the market.
The technology used
in the purifiers is among the best that I have seen. As the years go by, it just keeps getting
better and is very effective in cleaning the debris and pollutants that can be
found in the home. This technology makes
the units very dependable and durable. The
times that I have encountered problems with the units are when homeowners
didn’t take care of them properly or after they had been in use for many years.
Parts are readily available and replacing small components of the entire unit save you money in the long run. The initial cost may seem to be a little high for those who are looking to install a system in their home, but as other, less expensive brands tend to have more problems and don’t last as long-so you spend more money replacing parts or having to buy a new unit entirely. Each time I am contracted to do a job, I explain to the homeowners or project managers the advantages of spending a little more money so that they can have a dependable system. Unfortunately, some of them haven’t listened to me and got a different unit that caused a lot of headaches. Go with Honeywell!
